GLORY Announces More Bouts For December 10th, Year-End Card

DENVER – GLORY, the world’s premier kickboxing league, today announced nine new bouts to complete the lineup for its year-end show at König-Pilsener Arena in Oberhausen, Germany on Saturday, Dec. 10.

On Tuesday, Nov. 1, the organization hosted a press conference at Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam to announce its partnership with UFC.tv and reveal the four-fight card for GLORY: COLLISION found below:

Heavyweight Headline Bout: Rico Verhoeven vs. Badr Hari

Welterweight World Title Bout: Nieky Holzken (c) vs. Cedric Doumbé

Heavyweight Bout: Ismael Londt vs. Jamal Ben Saddik

Super Bantamweight Grand Prix Final Bout: Semifinal A Winner vs. Semifinal B Winner

This once in a lifetime special event is headlined by one of the most anticipated match-ups in combat sports history. Reigning GLORY world champion Rico “The King of Kickboxing” Verhoeven (49-10, 13 KO) clashes with long-time divisional kingpin Badr “The Golden Boy” Hari (106-12, 93 KO) for a showdown years in the making.

Priced at $29.95 US, GLORY: COLLISION is available for purchase as a Pay-Per-View event on North American cable and satellite providers including iN DEMAND, DirecTV, and DISH Network and globally via the UFC.tv digital service at ufc.tv/glorycollision. GLORY: COLLISION begins at 4 p.m. ET / 1 p.m. PT on Saturday, Dec. 10.

Taking place before the GLORY: COLLISION special pay-per-view event are two five-fight cards: GLORY 36 SuperFight Series and GLORY 36 Germany. Today, GLORY announced nine bouts to complete those two cards.

GLORY 36 SuperFight Series is headlined by Congolese-German light heavyweight Danyo “Dibuba” Ilunga (57-10, 44 KO), currently ranked No. 8, throwing down with the Netherlands’ Michael “The Dream Crusher” Duut (39-6, 17 KO).

Armenian-Belgian power puncher Harut Grigorian (42-10, 31 KO) battles 23-year-old German prospect Danijel Solaja at welterweight in the can’t miss co-headline bout.

GLORY 36 SuperFight Series also features two Super Bantamweight Grand Prix bouts. Muay Thai champion and MMA star Tiffany “Time Bomb” van Soest (15-2-1, 5 KO) meets Canadian challenger Jessica “Thumper” Gladstone (6-6, 2 KO) in one semifinal match-up, while 21-year-old Dutch prospect Isis “Fight Queen” Verbeek (9-3, 5 KO) takes on undefeated Amel Dehby (28-0, 11 KO) o f France. The winners of each semifinal match-up will advance to the Grand Prix tournament final – the opening bout of GLORY: COLLISION.

Plus, Andrej Bruhl (42-5, 15 KO), fighting out of Germany, faces Dutch-Moroccan youngster Tyjani Beztati (58-2-1, 21 KO) at lightweight to kick off the card.

GLORY 36 SuperFight Series streams live and exclusively on UFC Fight Pass at 1:30 p.m. ET / 10:30 a.m. PT on Saturday, Dec. 10.

Previously slated for GLORY 35 Nice but rebooked due to injury, reigning GLORY lightweight champion Sittichai (112-29-5, 30 KO) headlines GLORY 36 Germany, defending the belt against 25-year-old Armenian-Belgian challenger Marat Grigorian (48-9-2, 29 KO), ranked No. 2 in the division.

Sittichai captured the title at GLORY 31 Amsterdam in June, earning a hard fought decision over then-lightweight champion Robin van Roosmalen. Grigorian last competed for GLORY in May, submitting his entry for Knockout of the Year against Djimé at GLORY 30 Los Angeles (YouTube Highlight Video of the Knockout: Here).

The co-headline bout of GLORY 36 Germany is a featherweight tilt between aggressive Moroccan-Dutch star Mosab “Jaguar” Amrani (55-11-4, 18 KO), currently ranked No. 2, and French-Italian Muay Thai stylist Fabio Pinca (99-25-1, 41 KO), who makes his long awaited return to the GLORY ring.

Half of the one-night, four-man Lightweight Contender Tournament at GLORY 36 Germany is formed by former GLORY lightweight champion, Georgian karateka Davit Kiria (23-12, 8 KO) taking on fellow top-5 fighter Anatoly Moiseev (16-1, 4 KO) of Russia. On the other side of the bracket, Thailand’s Yodkhunpon Sitmonchai (83-22-1, 51 KO) competes for GLORY once again, welcoming Swiss newcomer Hysni Beqiri to the organization.
