As GLORY prepares for its upcoming, November 7th event in Oklahoma, it is doing so under the guidance of its new CEO, Jon Franklin.

In August, the kickboxing promotion announced Franklin was taking over as CEO, not long after it held its first pay-per-view event in June.

Franklin recently spoke with Glory World Series.com about the promotion’s upcoming plans, and relayed the following about its schedule for the coming months:

“The plan is one or two more events in 2014 and then a full schedule in 2015. We’re looking at ten or eleven events. I can say that January will be a month off, we won’t be doing a live event in that month.”

The experienced marketing exec also announced that GLORY’s champions will no longer defend their titles in tournaments, and that rather, the belts will only be on the line in five round, fights. The promotion will still hold tournaments, however, to determine new contenders.

GLORY 18 will be hosted by the Grand Casino Hotel & Resort in Shawnee, Oklahoma, and will feature lightweight champion Davit Kiria taking on Robin van Roosmalen.
