Joe Lauzon picked up a hard fought win against Jamie Varner at UFC on FOX 4, earning a submission win in round three via triangle choke.
The Gracie Breakdown explains how Lauzon successfully trapped Varner in the triangle choke, the modified squeeze he used to increase pressure and avoid damage, and why Varner’s triangle escape was unsuccessful.
Lauzon won Submission of the Night and Fight of the Night honors with his submission against Varner on Saturday night.
