Holly Holm and her team are officially appealing the fighter’s decision loss to Germaine de Randamie at UFC 208, as a result of the the late blows she took during the bout.

De Randamie appeared to stun Holm with a punch after the second round, horn sounded, and then after round three, she also fired late punches at the former 135 champ. In neither case, however, was de Randamie deducted a point by referee Todd Anderson, who ultimately won the fight via 48-47 scores.

MMA Fighting is reporting that Holm’s team is filing an official complaint with the New York Commission, on account of the fouls. Here is part of what the complaint states:

“We respectfully request the commission review referee Anderson’s failure to assess a foul and render a decision regarding a point deduction following Round 2, and failure to assess a foul and a point deduction following Round 3, and determine an appropriate result”

Recently de Randamie apologized for the late blows, and offered Holm an immediate rematch. De Randamie became the inaugural, women’s 145 champ with the win.
