The New York State Athletic Commission has denied the appeal that Holly Holm’s camp filed, following her defeat to Germaine de Randamie last month.

Holm faced de Randamie for the UFC’s first ever, women’s 145 title on February 11th, and the latter won the bout via unanimous decision. The result was a controversial one, however, as de Randamie landed a late punch after round two concluded, and did not receive a formal warning. After round three, de Randamie threw more punches after the horn, but no point was deducted.

Recently the NYSAC announced that Holm’s appeal regarding the decision has been denied (quote via MMA Fighting):

“After a review of the video footage of the bout, the New York State Athletic Commission determined that there was no clear error or violation of statute or rule by Referee Todd Anderson. Therefore, the scoring and outcome of the bout will not be modified.”

Since the bout, de Randamie has insisted she’s not a “dirty fighter” and has offered Holm an immediate rematch.
