“Jacare” Souza’s Manager Says UFC Should Give Dan Henderson HOF Spot, “Not a Title Shot”

"Jacare" Souza

Recently Dana White reported that the UFC is trying to book Michael Bisping – Dan Henderson II, and not surprisingly, “Jacare” Souza’s manager isn’t happy about it.

Since Henderson scored a vicious KO over Bisping in 2009, and because of his legendary status, many fans are hoping to see him rematch the newly crowned, middleweight champ. Bisping has also said he would love the opportunity to avenge the defeat.

But, because Henderson isn’t currently ranked in the top ten of the UFC’s 185 division, not everyone is on board with the idea. Particularly since fighters like Souza have been on tremendous runs. Recently MMA Junkie.com text Souza’s manager, Gilberto Faria, for his take on the situation. The latter stated ““If you want to do a tribute to ‘Hendo,’ put him in the (UFC) Hall of Fame, not a title shot.”

Souza has gone 9-1 in his last ten fights, and is only loss during that stretch, was a tightly contested, decision loss to Yoel Romero. Henderson, meanwhile, is 4-6 in his last 10 contests.
