UFC veteran Jacob Volkmann is reporting that he’ll fight former Strikeforce competitor Lyle Beerbohm at the upcoming, June 14th, World Series of Fighting event.

Volkmann (15-4), who will be making his promotional debut, announced the fight via his Twitter account. The veteran was released by the UFC after he was submitted by Bobby Green at UFC 156 in February.

Although the defeat was Volkmann’s second in three fights–he was tapped out by Paul Sass last May–Volkman went 6-4 during his run with the promotion.

Beerbohm (21-2) will head into his WSOF debut having won six straight fights, after dropping back-to-back losses to Pat Healy and Shinya Aoki under the Strikeforce banner.

WSOF 3 will be hosted by the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas on June 14th and will be broadcast on the NBC Sports Network.

Some of the other bouts that have been confirmed for the event include Jon Fitch vs. Josh Burkman, Justin Gaethje vs. Brian Cobb, Tyrone Spong vs. Angel DeAnda and JOhn Gunderson vs. Dan Lauzon.
