Jason High to Battle Todd Moore at Sept. 23 Challengers

Strikeforce has added a welterweight contest between Jason High and Todd Moore to the line-up of the promotion’s upcoming September23rd Challengers event in Las Vegas. The bout will be featured on the night’s main card portion, which will see light-heavyweight Lorenz Larkin battle Virgil Swicker in the main event.
High (14-2) will be looking to extend a five fight win streak at the event, a run which includes noteworthy victories over Jordan Mein, Hayato Sakurai and most recently, Quinn Mulhern.
Moore (14-4) is coming off back-to-back victories over Lee King and Mike Bronzoulis, and is 4-1 in his last five fights. Moore’s only loss during that stretch took place last July, when he was stopped by Brian Melancon while competing under the Legacy Promotion’s banner.
Strikeforce has also confirmed that lightweight Bobby Green (15-5) will take on Charon Spain (7-3) on the September 23rd preliminary card.
The upcoming Challengers event will be hosted by the Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort and will be broadcast live on Showtime.
Some of the other bouts confirmed for the card include heavyweight Lavar Johnson (15-4) vs. Shawn Jordan (10-3), lightweight Ryan Couture (2-1) vs. Maka Watson (4-1), and the aforementioned Melancon (5-2) vs. Felipe Portela (7-0).
