Jeff Monson, Aleksander Emelianenko Score Wins at M-1 Challenge 31

Following his loss to Fedor Emelianenko last November, UFC vet Jeff Monson got back on the winning track at M-1 Challenge 31 this weekend, by working his way to a split decision victory over Alexey Oleinik.

The card, which took place in St. Petersburg, Russia, also saw Fedor’s brother Alexander Emelianenko stop Tadas Rimkevicius in the second round.

In addition, the M-1 Global Welterweight Championship changed hands, as Rashid Magomedov scored a five round, unanimous decision over Yasubey Enomoto.
