Jimi Manuwa Says Title Shot “is The Only Fight For me Now”
By FCF Staff
After scoring a walk off, knockout win in the headliner of UFC Fight Night 107, Jimi Manuwa is calling for a shot at the light-heavyweight belt.
Manuwa floored Corey Anderson with a vicious, left hook, in the first round of their bout on Saturday. The win was Manuwa’s second straight, KO victory, as in October, he took out Ovince Saint Preux in round two.
After yesterday’s win, Manuwa spoke with the UFC camera crew, and while doing so, the British fighter said a title shot is “the only fight for me now”. The heavy handed fighter isn’t interested in facing Glover Teixeira, as Manuwa claims the Brazilian contender has already “had his chance”.
Manuwa was ranked #4 heading into the event. Light-heavyweight champ Daniel Cormier will face Anthony Johnson on April 8th at UFC 210.
