Jimmo, Riddle, Caraway and Gagnon Pick Up UFC 149 Bonuses
By FCF Staff
As soon as Ryan Jimmo knocked Anthony Perosh out with a thumping right hand in just 7 seconds, few people likely doubted that the light-heavyweight would receive “Knockout of the Night” for the stoppage.
After the card, Jimmo picked up the KOTN award and an extra $65,000 for the win, which tied the promotion’s record for fastest KO.
“Submission of the Night” and 65 grand went to welterweight Matt Riddle, who caught Chris Clements with a standing arm-triangle-choke, before sweeping the fighter to the floor and getting the tap-out.
“Fight of the Night” went to bantamweights Bryan Caraway and Mitch Gagnon for their memorable battle. Caraway weathered Gagnon’s storm early on and eventually tapped the Canadian out with a third round, rear-naked-choke.
UFC 149 was hosted by Calgary’s Scotiabank Saddledome.
