Rage in the Cage has announced that its upcoming May 11th event will be headlined by a bout between UFC veterans Joe Riggs and Aaron Brink. The two men, who between them have nearly 100 professional bouts under their belts, will fight for the promotion’s vacant light-heavyweight title.

Riggs (35-14) is coming off a stoppage win over Shannon Ritch in November, after the 29 year-old-fighter dropped consecutive bouts to Jordan Mein, Bryan Baker and Kendall Grove.

Riggs is 2-3 in his last five bouts with his other win coming over Trent Thorne at a King of the Cage event in November, 2010.

Brink (25-21) hasn’t competed since last April when he submitted Jesse Varela while fighting for Trilogy Championship Fighting.

The 37 year-old vet is also 2-3 in his last five fights.

The May 11th event will be hosted by the Wild Horse Pass Casino in Chandler, Arizona.
