After his Octagon return was postponed this past summer, Joe Riggs will make his UFC return versus Ben Saunders on December 13th.

The promotion has announced that the welterweights will fight at UFC on FOX 13, which will be hosted by the U.S. Airways Center in Phoenix, Arizona.

Riggs (40-14) was originally scheduled to fight Paulo Thiago on October 13th, but the veteran was injured in a gun accident and was forced to withdraw.

The 32 year-old Riggs, who hasn’t fought in the UFC since 2006, decisioned Mike Bronzoulis last November to win Bellator’s “Fight Master” competition.

Saunders (17-6-2) returned to the UFC in August, and scored a highlight reel, omoplata victory over Chris Heatherly.

The 31 year-old, who went 7-3 with Bellator, hadn’t competed in the Octagon since 2010.

UFC on FOX 13 will be headlined by a heavyweight bout between Junior dos Santos and Stipe Miocic.
