The Ultimate Fighting Championship has announced that its has suspended Joey Beltran and Rousimar Palhares for nine months each, after the two veterans allegedly failed their drug test, following UFC on FX 6 on December 15th.
According to multiple reports, Beltran received the suspension due to a positive test for the steroid nandrolone, while Palhares tested positive for elevated testosterone-to-epitestosterone levels.
Due to the fact there is no managing athletic body in Gold Coast, Australia, where the event took place, the UFC oversaw its own testing.
Beltran worked his way to a unanimous decision win over Igor Pokrajac that night, however, the result will be overturned to a no contest.
Palhares, on the other hand, was quickly KO’d by Hector Lombard.
