It appears as though the UFC can start working on a date for a title fight between welterweight champ Georges St. Pierre and Johny Hendricks, as the latter does not appear to have a broken hand after all.

Following his unanimous decision win over Carlos Condit at UFC 158 Saturday, Hendricks reported that his left hand was “throbbing” and that he was concerned it was broken. His cornermen also asked him during the memorable bout if indeed his hand was okay.

Hendricks took to Twitter to report, however, that his hand is not as badly hurt as originally thought.

THANKS for the concern! Update on my hand: it was feeling so much better today I decided not to go to the doc. Recovery going good!

The recent win for Hendricks entrenched a title fight with St. Pierre, UFC President Dana White confirmed afterwards, however, no date has been set.

GSP retained his title at UFC 158 by scoring a unanimous decision win over Nick Diaz.
