By FCF Staff
Johny Hendricks has some work to do first, but the former welterweight champ has given Robbie Lawler the heads up that he intends to face him for the belt again.
Hendricks, who is scheduled to fight fellow contender Stephen Thompson on February 6th, tweeted out the following comment after Lawler’s victory Saturday.
Ok I see you Robbie. Congrats but I'm still coming! #ufc195

Lawler took the title from Hendricks via split decision in December, 2014, after he failed to win the vacant title while facing him in March, 2014. There was talk that the UFC was going to book a rubber match between the two, after Hendricks defeated Matt Brown earlier in 2015, but the promotion elected to go with Rory MacDonald and then Condit.
Hendricks was booked to fight Tyron Woodley in October, but after he withdrew due to weight cutting issues, the latter was told he’d face the winner of Lawler – Condit.
Lawler defended the title via split decision on Saturday.
