Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier have exchanged plenty of verbal shots in the past, and now that the two are set to fight at UFC 178, their war of words seems to be heating up.

Jones recently relayed on Instagram that he incurred a cut over his eye while training. The light-heavyweight champ says that the wound will be healed “within a week”, but Cormier had this to say about the cut and Jones’ social media habits:

September 27th I’m gonna put so many of these on ur face @jonnybones. I can’t wait everyday I’m dreaming and thinking of you. And I’m gonna take u down and grind my elbow into that cut you got today. Put a bullseye on that thing. Some things should remain private. DC

Jones apparently isn’t concerned by Cormier’s threats, as the champion then posted:

UFC 178 will be hosted by the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, on September 27th.
