Jon Jones hadn’t said much publicly, since it was revealed he tested positive for cocaine metabolites in December, but the UFC champion has discussed the situation in length in a new interview.

Jones recently conducted a one-on-one interview with FOX Sports Live, and in the segment, the fighter said he isn’t a cocaine addict. Jones relayed that he did the drug at a party, several weeks before his January 3rd bout with Daniel Cormier. The light-heavyweight champ won that fight via unanimous decision.

The 27 year-old says cocaine was “introduced” to him in college, but said he doesn’t “dab into cocaine. It’s not my thing at all.”

Jones was also asked why he elected to enter rehab, if he doesn’t have a drug problem, as he claims. Jones said that his representatives convinced him to go, since they weren’t sure if the fighter, in fact, had a problem or not.

“Bones” claims that after a 24 hour evaluation at a drug treatment facility, physicians determined that he didn’t need to stay at the center full time. Jones also relayed that he will continue to be tested for drugs, as part of his treatment program.

The talented fighter concluded the interview by apologizing to his fans and the UFC.
