Jon Jones Posts Statement After Having License Revoked by California Commission
By FCF Staff
After appearing in front of the California State Athletic Commission yesterday, and having his license revoked to fight in the jurisdiction, Jon Jones released a statement via Twitter.
Jones appeared in front of the CSAC in connection with his positive test for Turinabol last year. The former light-heavyweight champ has repeatedly denied that he knowingly took the banned substance. The organization decided to fine Jones $205,000 as a result of his second USADA flag, and revoked his license.
During the proceedings, commission and executive officer Andy Foster relayed that he believes Jones did not deliberately take the performance enhancing drug, prompting Jones’ tweet below.
Jones can reapply for a license in California after he serves out any suspension that USADA hands him.
I want to thank csac for taking the time and hearing my case, and executive officer Andy Foster for saying he believes me.
