Jose Aldo, Rashad Evans and Alistair Overeem Lead UFC 156 Payroll
By FCF Staff
The Nevada State Athletic Commission has released the payroll figures for this past Saturday’s UFC 156 card in Las Vegas, and as one would expect, established stars like featherweight champion Jose Aldo, Rashad Evans, Alistair Overeem and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira led the way.
Aldo took home $240,000, which included a $120,000 win bonus, for his tightly contested, unanimous decision win over Frankie Edgar. The former lightweight champ earned $120,000 for the loss.
Antonio Rogerio Nogueira earned $174,000 (including a $67,000 win bonus) for his UD win over former light-heavyweight champ Rashad Evans, who received $300,000.
Alistair Overeem received almost as much as Evans, as the former Strikeforce champ earned $285, 714.29 for his stunning, knockout loss at the hands of Antonio Silva. “Bigfoot” took home $70,000 for the memorable win.
