Kenny Robertson, Robbie Lawler, Matt Grice and Dennis Bermudez Pick Up UFC 157 Bonuses

"Ruthless" Robbie Lawler

Right after Matt Grice and Dennis Bermudez completed their thrilling, three round war on the UFC 157 preliminary card, most fans likely realized that in all probability, they had just witnessed the “Fight of the Night”.

Afterwards, the two featherweights were indeed awarded FOTN honors and an extra $50,000 each for the fight, which featured several highlight reel exchanges and transitions. Bermudez walked away from the bout with a split decision win.

Robbie Lawler picked “Knockout of the Night” for his first round, stoppage of Josh Koscheck, which came after he peppered the welterweight with punches as he lay trapped against the Octagon fence. Koscheck protested the referee’s decision, however, as he appeared to still have his senses. The TKO victory was the only one on the card.

“Submission of the Night” and an extra $50,000 went to Kenny Robertson, for his unorthodox kneebar finish of Brock Jardine. Robertson appeared to pressure the welterweight’s knee and hamstring, by pulling up on Jardine’s leg while he was on the latter’s back.

UFC 157 was hosted by the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
