Legacy Fighting Championship has announced that James McSweeney has been brought into face fellow UFC vet Paul Buentello at it’s upcoming, August 23rd event, as Marcus Sursa will no longer compete as scheduled. No information regarding Sursa’s withdrawal was provided.

McSweeney (11-10) is coming off  a first round, stoppage victory over Dion Staring at a Championship Fighting Alliance card in March. The 32 year-old TUF vet is 4-1 in his last five bouts, and is 7-4 since he exited from the UFC in 2010.

Buentello (32-15) has won three straight fights, and most recently, the former heavyweight stopped Igor Kostin at a Federation of MMA event in Russia this past March. The 39 year-old Buentello has gone 5-3 since his last UFC bout, which took place in 2010.

Legacy FC 22 card will take place in Lubbock, Texas, at the Fairgrounds Park Coliseum and will be broadcast on AXS TV.
