Legacy FC 55 will take place on May 13, 2016, at Arena Theater in Houston, Texas

HOUSTON — (April 5, 2016) — Legacy Fighting Championship has revealed the fight card for Legacy FC 55, which will take place on May 13, 2016, at Arena Theater in Houston, TX. The headliner features a heavyweight bout between Houston native and Legacy newcomer, Justin Ledet [6-0] and Syndicate fighter, Brice Ritani-Coe [4-3]. The brazen Ledet typically fights at 205, but his strong submission game and superior cardio-vascular skills could pose a dangerous threat to Ritani-Coe, who currently stands 1-1 under the Legacy banner after losing a heavyweight title fight to Cody East at LFC 40. Ritani-Coe has the punching power to stop Ledet in his tracks, however, with all four of his wins ending by knockout in the early rounds.

The co-main event features current Legacy flyweight champion, Damacio Page [19-10], in a bantamweight bout against fellow Legacy veteran, Ryan Hollis [11-9]. Page was originally slated to compete against Matt “Danger” Schnell [9-2] at LFC 52 in Lake Charles, LA. On March 25th, but was forced to withdraw due to injury. Schnell defeated Klayton Mai [8-2] via first round submission to win LFC’s interim flyweight title and is scheduled for a unification bout against Page later this summer. Hollis will be making his first appearance on the Legacy stage since Aug. 2015 after a unanimous decision loss to Colin Wright.

Making his first return to LFC since a 2012 loss to Robert Drysdale, Isaac “Hurricane Ike” Villanueva [11-7] will face Brandon Farran [12-11] at 185. Villanueva has remained undefeated in his last three fights whereas Farran, absent from LFC since 2013, will look to recover from his most recent 0-3 record.

Also featured on the card is Roberto Sanchez [4-0], currently undefeated under the Legacy banner, fighting David Waters [3-0] in his Legacy debut. The televised fights will kick off with Dulani Perry [1-0] versus Manny Lozoya [1-0], followed by Adrian Yanez [4-1] versus Humberto Deleon [6-6] and Jason Langellier [3-0] versus an opponent that is yet to be determined at 155.

The undercard includes some big names in the professional Houston MMA community. Ryan Josey makes his professional debut versus CJ Hancock [1-0] at 185 and Mike Trinh takes on D’Neareon Seymore [0-2] at 135. Rounding out the professional fight card are Charles Cheeks [9-4] versus David Armas [7-13] at 145 and Chad Cook [10-10] versus Larry Crowe [9-6] at 185.

Mick Maynard, President of Legacy FC, shared his thoughts on the thrilling lineup.

“This will be our second event this year in our hometown of Houston, Texas. We love being home and expect this to be another event featuring some of the best fighters in the world, in one of the best fight cities in the world.”

Legacy FC 55 will air live on AXSTV on May 13, 2016, at 9 p.m., CST.
