Lion Fight 17: Mailaipet-Justin Greskiewicz II New Headliner, Cosmo Alexandre-Jo Nattawut Co-Main Event

By Lion Fight (via press release)

Las Vegas, NV – Lion Fight today announced a new main event for its August 1st event at Foxwoods Resort Casino, moving the anticipated rematch Mailaipet vs. Justin Greskiewicz 2 to the top of the card, and also announcing that one of the biggest stars in Muay Thai, Cosmo Alexandre, will compete against Thai Champion Jo Nattawut as LION FIGHT 17’s co-main event.

LION FIGHT 17 originally scheduled Thepnimit “Mr. Knock” Sitmonchai vs. Dean James for its August 1st main event. The organization had to seek a full replacement when Thepnimit “Mr. Knock” Sitmonchai encountered international travel issues involving his visa, while at the same time, Dean James incurred an injury in training. The decision was made to move the existing co-main event up as LION FIGHT 17’s headliner and pursue the co-main event matchup Alexandre vs. Nattawut.

“As the premier promotion in Muay Thai, fans trust that we will deliver a world class night of fights with each and every Lion Fight event,” said Scott Kent, CEO, Lion Fight. I’m pleased to announce that we met this challenge in securing World Muay Thai Champion and fan favorite Mailaipet vs. Justin Greskiewicz 2 as LION FIGHT 17’s main event, and in signing Cosmo Alexandre, one of the best Muay Thai fighters in the world, for the co-main event vs. Jo Nattawut, a world class Thai athlete who’s excited for this opportunity to take on Cosmo.”
