Lorenz Larkin Signs With Bellator

Lorenz Larkin

By FCF Staff

Bellator has added one of the top welterweights in MMA to its roster, as the promotion’s confirmed it has signed UFC veteran Lorenz Larkin.

Larkin entered free agency last year, after he finished fellow contender Neil Magny in the opening round at UFC 202. After the noted striker became a free agent, Larkin argued that the UFC had never promoted him correctly.

On Thursday, the Press Enterprise reported that Larkin has signed with Bellator. The promotion’s president, Scott Coker, has also confirmed the signing on Twitter and in the PE story.

Larkin was quoted saying the following, in the aforementioned report:

“It’s been a long process, I didn’t expect it to be that long,” said Larkin. “I wanted someone to get behind me and have some faith that I can deliver and I can be an asset to wherever I go and that’s what I felt like with Bellator. They pretty much checked off all the things that I was looking for.”

The 30 year-old Larkin has gone 4-1 in his last 5 bouts.
