Mark Hunt

By FCF Staff

Although Mark Hunt threatened Junior dos Santos on a couple of occasions at UFC 160  Saturday night, as many fans expected, the former champ was too quick for the 39 year-old vet. According to Hunt, of the reasons dos Santos was a step or two ahead of him throughout much of the fight, was because he injured his foot shortly into round one.

Hunt has posted the following message on his Facebook page:

thanks for the support apologies about the result junior was to slick for me,got a broken toe first round, and had no movement, but like i said before if i am going out i am out on my back thanks again 1luv.

Dos Santos dropped Hunt shortly into the bout with a punishing right hand, but the resilient fighter quickly returned to his feet and pursued his opponent for much of the fight. In round three, dos Santos caught Hunt with a highlight reel, spinning heel kick and finished the K-1 legend off with a punch.

UFC 160 was hosted by the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
