Former “Ultimate Fighter” competitor Matt Riddle has agreed to step in for the injured Stephen Thompson at UFC 154, and will fight Besam Yousef at the November 17th card.

Thompson was forced to withdraw from the Montreal bound event due to a knee injury.

Riddle is coming off a no contest decision versus Chris Clements at UFC 149 in July. Although the 26 year-old-welterweight originally won the bout by submission, Riddle reportedly tested positive for marijuana  following the bout and the fight was overturned.

Riddle, who according to a report from MMA Junkie has a medical card for marijuana use, was also suspended for 90 days.

Prior to UFC 149, Riddle (6-3) worked his way to a split decision win over Henry Martinez at UFC 143 in February.

Yousef (6-1) made his Octagon debut in April and was submitted by Simeon Thoresen.

UFC 154 will be hosted by Montreal’s Bell Centre and will feature welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre versus interim champ Carlos Condit in the main event.
