UFC 222 has lost it’s main event, four weeks out from the card, as Max Holloway has reportedly pulled out of the event due to an injury.

Holloway was scheduled to defend the featherweight title against Frankie Edgar on March 3rd. ESPN, however, is reporting that the champion has been forced out because of an injury.

Holloway and Edgar were also scheduled to fight at UFC 218 in December, but the latter had to withdraw, because of injury.

The UFC has not made any official announcement regarding the status of the fight, as this is being written.

UFC 222 will take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
