Melvin Guillard Set To Train At Denver’s Grudge Training Center
By Kelsey Mowatt
It appears as though Melvin Guillard will prepare for his recently announced UFC on FOX 8 bout with Mac Danzing out of Denver’s Grudge Training Center. The move comes not long after Guillard announced that he was leaving Florida’s Blackzilians team, only to have his request to return to Jackson’s MMA in New Mexico reportedly turned down.
Guillard announced today that he had begun training with Team Grudge, and the team’s head trainer Trevor Wittman also confirmed to Full Contact Fighter that the lightweight is now at the the Denver gym.
The 30 year-old-fighter tweeted recently:
Heading to my first workout with team grudge I sleep in a basement these are the thing’s I’ve been missing felt good let’s get it.:-):-)
Guillard (30-12-2) is coming off a split decision loss to Jamie Varner in December, after being knocked out by Donald Cerrone last August. The TUF vet’s last win took place in June, 2012, when he scored a unanimous decision win over Fabricio Camoes.
The Guillard, Danzig bout will take place July 27th in Seattle.
