Melvin Guillard vs. Ross Pearson Added to Manchester UFC Fight Night
By FCF Staff
Ross Pearson campaigned for a spot on the upcoming, October 26th, UFC Fight Night card in Manchester, and the lightweight appears to have gotten his wish. On the latest edition of “UFC Tonight” Tuesday, it was announced that Pearson will take on Melvin Guillard at the event, which will be hosted by the Manchester Arena.
Pearson (15-6) is coming off back-to-back stoppage wins over George Sotiropoulos and most recently Ryan Couture, after returning to the lightweight division. Prior to the victories the British fighter was stopped by featherweight contender Cub Swanson.
Guillard (31-12-2) recently ended a two fight losing skid, as the feared striker knocked out Mac Danzig at UFC on FOX 8, after losing to Donald Cerrone and Jamie Varner. The Grudge Training Center fighter is 2-3 in his last 5 bouts.
UFC Fight in Manchester will be headlined by a middleweight bout between contenders Michael Bisping and Mark Munoz.
