The second Metamoris event will take place  June 9th at the Pauley Pavilion in Los Angeles, which is a professional jiu jitsu invitational that will feature several of the world’s top grapplers. For example, the card will be headlined by a match between Kron Gracie and Shinya Aoki. Gracie is the youngest son of jiu jitsu legend Rickson Gracie, and Aoki is a decorated fighter and one of MMA’s most feared submission artists.

Metamoris grabbed headlines last year not only because of the high profile grapplers that competed, but because of the event’s rules. Matches last 20 minutes and bouts are either won by submission or decision. No points are awarded during the matches like in most grappling tournaments.

Other bouts that have been confirmed for the event include Kron Gracie vs. Shinya Aoki, Braulio Estima vs. Rodolfo Vieira, Roberto “Cyborg” Abreu vs. Brendan Schaub, Mackenzie Dern vs. Michelle Nicolini, Andre Galvao vs. Rafael Lovato Jr. and Bill “The Grill” Cooper vs. Ryan Hall.
