Promotional Debut Unlikely to Take Place at WSOF 3

World Series of Fighting has signed one of the top middleweights not currently signed to the UFC or Bellator, as the Maximum Fighting Championship’s middleweight champ Elvis Mutapcic has inked a multi-fight deal with the promotion.

The deal was reported first by MMA Junkie, and Mutapcic has confirmed with Full Contact Fighter that he has signed a five fight deal with WSOF. While the promotion has its third show booked for June 14th, Mutapcic has a wedding coming up and as a result, he will not be able to fit a camp in prior to the card.

Mutapcic (13-2) went 3-0 during his run with the MFC by scoring wins over Jacen Flynn, Joseph Henle and most recently Sam Alvey. The Iowa fighter also holds a stoppage win over recent TUF Brazil finalist Cezar Ferreira.

The only man to defeat the 26 year-old-vet in his last ten bouts is Artenas Young, who handed him a unanimous decision loss at Shark Fights 16 in June, 2011.
