Michael Bisping

By FCF Staff

Michael Bisping is scheduled to fight Robert Whittaker at UFC 193 on November 15th, but after that, he’s willing to take Lyoto Machida up on his request…

In the latest edition of “UFC Tonight“, the show’s Ariel Helwani relayed to Bisping that Lyoto Machida is interested in fighting him. Here’s what the outspoken fighter had to say in response (quote via FOX Sports press release):

“He wants to punch me in the face as hard as he can. I don’t mind it. We’re all professionals and that’s what we’re here to do. To be honest, I thought Machida came back too quick after that devasting loss to Luke Rockhold…I’ve got a lot of respect for Lyoto Machida.”

Machida (22-7) is coming off a submission loss to Luke Rockhold and a KO defeat versus Yoel Romero. The former light-heavyweight champ is 2-3 in his last 5 bouts.

Bisping (27-7) heads into UFC 193 having recorded consecutive, decision wins over CB Dollaway and Thales Leites. The veteran is 3-2 in his last 5 fights.
