Coming off back-to-back and impressive wins over Joe Lauzon and Gleison Tibau, Michael Johnson has made it clear he’s interested in fighting Nate Diaz or Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Recently, UFC President Dana White relayed on Twitter that Diaz had been offered a bout with Nurmagomedov, but that the lightweight had turned it down. White then added that “nobody wants to fight Khabib”.

Later on, however, Diaz denied that he had passed on the opportunity to fight the undefeated lightweight.

Now, Johnson has thrown his name into the mix by tweeting:

Prior to his victories over Lauzon and Tibau, the TUF 12 vet lost consecutive fights to Reza Madadi and Myles Jury. The 27 year-old Johnson (14-8) has gone 5-5 to date in the UFC.

Nurmagomedov has won all five of his bouts since signing with the UFC and is 21-0.
