Mike Goldberg’s Son Criticizes UFC For Not Honoring Longtime Announcer in Final Broadcast
By FCF Staff
UFC 207 marked the end of Mike Goldberg’s 20 year run announcing cards for the promotion, and the latter’s son is criticizing the company, for not honoring that fact.
A few days before the December 30th card, UFC President Dana White confirmed that it would be Goldberg’s last with the company. When asked why the two were splitting ways, White said he would let Goldberg discuss that, if he wished.
During the UFC 207 broadcast, there was no official recognition that it was Goldberg’s last, despite the fact he has been with the company since 1997. Later, the following tweets were sent out via an account attributed to Goldberg’s son, Kole.
my dad did so much for the UFC over the past 13 years and they can't even give him a proper goodbye. what a joke @ufc
