Mike Perry Says Donald Cerrone “Gave up” Against Darren Till
By FCF Staff
Mike Perry had a front row seat at UFC Fight Night 118 to watch Darren Till put away Donald Cerrone, and the outspoken welterweight believes the real “Cowboy” didn’t show up.
Till out struck Cerrone from the beginning of the contest, and proceeded to finish the rugged vet in the opening round with strikes. After the contest, Perry had this to say about Cerrone’s performance, while speaking to the UFC’s John Gooden and Dan Hardy (quote via MMA Fighting):
“Yeah, he looked good against Donald — against Donald Cerrone,” Perry said. “Not against ‘The Cowboy.’ That’s not the ‘Cowboy’ that wins fights. That’s the Donald that shows up. I wasn’t happy with Donald’s performance. I’ve seen him fight a lot better. Darren didn’t get a tough fighter tonight, he got someone who gave up in the first round. You know that’s not what we’re gonna see with me.”
Perry, who had words with Till after Saturday’s headliner, is scheduled to fight Santiago Ponzinibbio at UFC on FOX 26 on Dec. 16th.
