Mike Swick

By FCF Staff

UFC 189 has received another big name fighter, as the promotion has announced that TUF 1’s Mike Swick will fight Alex Garcia at the July 11th event.

The bout will mark the first time Swick (15-5) has fought since December, 2012, when he was knocked out by Matt Brown. Prior to the loss the 35 year-old fighter KO’d Damarques Johnson at UFC on FOX 4.

Garcia (12-2) is also looking to get back on the winning path, as the 27 year-old welterweight is coming off a decision loss to Neil Magny last August. The Tristar fighter had won six straight before facing Magny.

UFC 189 will be hosted by the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, and will feature featherweight champ Jose Aldo taking on Conor McGregor. The card will also see welterweight champ Robbie Lawler battle Rory MacDonald.
