After spending over two years on the sidelines due to injuries and illness, Mike Swick has his latest bout confirmed, as the welterweight vet will take on DaMarques Johnson at the upcoming, August 4th, UFC on FOX card.

Swick (14-4) hasn’t fought since February, 2010, when he was choked out by Paulo Thiago at UFC 109. The defeat came after the American Kickboxing Academy fighter dropped a unanimous decision loss to Dan Hardy in November, 2009.

Prior to the defeats the TUF 1 competitor had won four straight.

Johnson (15-10) is coming off a second round, submission loss to John Maguire in April, after knocking out Clay Harvison at the first UFC on FOX card last November.

Three featherweight bouts were also added to the UFC on FOX 4 card today, as Josh Grispi (14-3) will take on Pablo Garza (11-3), Nam Phan (17-10) will battle Cole Miller (18-6), and Manny Gamburyan (11-7) will fight Michihiro Omigawa (13-11-1).

The  August 4th card will be hosted by the Staples Center in Los Angeles, and will feature a middleweight bout between Hector Lombard and Brian Stann in the main event.
