As reported would be the case, the Ultimate Fighting Championship has officially announced that Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor will battle again on July 9th. The bout will headline UFC 200 which will be hosted by the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, and will once again be contested at 170 pounds.

McGregor and Diaz fought earlier this month at UFC 196, and the latter won the bout via second round, submission. Originally, McGregor was scheduled to fight lightweight champ Rafael dos Anjos, but he was forced to withdraw due to a broken foot.

Immediately after the bout, McGregor said he intended to return to 145 and defend the featherweight title. But, since the Irish star has elected to fight Diaz, the UFC has announced that former featherweight champ Jose Aldo will battle Frankie Edgar for an interim belt. That fight will co-headline UFC 200.

Aldo faced Edgar in 2013 and won the bout via UD.

The UFC has also announced that former heavyweight champ Cain Velasquez will take on Travis Browne at UFC 200. In addition, the promotion has confirmed that Gegard Mousasi will take on fellow middleweight contender Derek Brunson, and that lightweight Joe Lauzon will face Diego Sanchez.

Johny Hendricks will fight fellow welterweight contender Kelvin Gastelum as expected, and Takanori Gomi will battle fellow lightweight vet, Jim Miller.
