Nate Diaz in Process of Applying For Nevada Boxing License
By FCF Staff
Last year, Conor McGregor received a boxing license in the State of California, and now his former opponent Nate Diaz is in the process of applying for one in Nevada.
Recently the Nevada State Athletic Commission confirmed to ESPN that Diaz has been in contact with them, as part of the application process, which included filing video of him sparring. NSAC Executive Director Bob Bennett told the outlet that they expect Diaz will receive his boxing license.
The report also includes comments from decorated boxer Floyd Mayweather, who claims Diaz told him recently that he’s interested in boxing.
Diaz hasn’t fought since August, when he lost his rematch with McGregor via unanimous decision. Diaz submitted the champion in their first bout, however, last March.
