Nathan Coy Steps In For Injured Bruno Carvalho To Face Dhiego Lima At MFC 32

Nathan “Soulforce” Coy (9-4) will take the place of injured Bruno Carvalho opposite Dhiego “Maluco” Lima (6-0) in a featured Maximum Fighting Championship (MFC) contest at Mayfield Conference Centre in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on Friday, Jan. 27, live on HDNet.

Coy, a former NCAA All-American wrestler for Oregon State University, has won four of his last six fights, with three of those victories coming inside the first round. The 33-year-old native of Portland, Oregon who fights out of Coconut Creek, Florida, owns five first-round stoppages over the course of his five-year career, and also holds notable decisions win over Rick Story and Mike Pierce.

Another switch to the main card occurred when hometown product Mukai Maromo suffered a broken finger in training, forcing him to withdraw from a scheduled meeting with unbeaten “Dirty” Dan Ring (5-0-1).  Ring will face James Haddad (4-1).

Haddad of Calgary, Alberta, was slated to take on Curtis “The Demon” Demarce on the undercard. According to MFC officials, Demarce (12-10) will remain on the card and his new opponent will be announced soon.
