The Nevada State Athletic Commission has released the final attendance and gate figures for the July 6th, UFC 162 card in Las Vegas, and as expected, the event generated a significant gate.

According to the commission’s figures, 12,964 people were in attendance at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, to produce a gate total of $4,826,450. That figure makes UFC 162 the third highest, grossing MMA card to be held at the venue, as only UFC 148 and UFC 66 generated a higher gate.

UFC 148 last July featured the second Anderson Silva-Chael Sonnen bout, while UFC 66 in 2006, was headlined by Chuck Liddell-Tito Ortiz II.

Of the 12,964 fans in attendance at UFC 162, 10,157 paid for their seats while 2,807 received free tickets.

UFC 162 was headlined by Anderson Silva taking on Chris Weidman, and saw the latter become middleweight champion, by knocking out the legend in the second round. The two are set to rematch at UFC 168 on December 28th.
