NY MMA Update: National Abuse Agency Urges NY Assembly To Uphold Ban On “Cage Fighting”

The National Center on Domestic and Sexual Violence (NCDSV) released a memo on Tuesday, January 10, to the New York State Assembly urging the state government “to uphold the ban on cage fighting” in New York State.

The four-page memo, shown below, cites various comments made by UFC President Dana White as well as comments made by several UFC fighters as examples of behavior that “contribute to a culture of violence against women, and lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people” and noting the effect these incidents may have on child viewers.
