Official UFC 223 Poster Says Ferguson – Nurmagomedov is For “World Lightweight Championship”

Conor McGregor currently remains the UFC’s lightweight champion, but the official poster for UFC 223, has the card’s fight between Tony Ferguson and Khabib Nurmagomedov for the “world lightweight championship”.
In recent weeks, Dana White has said that McGregor needs to commit to a bout with the winner of Ferguson – Nurmagomedov before the end of summer, or he will be stripped of the title. Ferguson won the interim belt last October, by submitting Kevin Lee.
