Shinya Aoki added another submission win to his decorated resume today, as the former DREAM champ quickly choked out underdog Arnaud Lepont at ONE FC’s “Rise of Kings”.

The victory was the first for Aoki under the ONE FC banner and extended his overall record to 31-6.

“Rise of Kings” also featured two title fights, as both the promotions vacant lightweight and bantamweight belts were on the line. Kotetsu Boku scored a third round stoppage win over Zorobabel Moreira to win the lightweight title, while Soo Chul Kim knockouted out Leandro Issa in round two to take the bantamweight crown.

The card, which took place in Singapore, also included the opening round of ONE FC’s Bantamweight Grand-Prix. Among the quarterfinal winners was veteran Jens Pulver, who was reportedly unable to continue in round three, after taking an illegal groin kick from Zhao Ya Fei.

As a result of the foul, the judge’s scorecards at that juncture awarded Pulver with the technical unanimous decision win.
