ONE FC 12: Kayoom to Battle Suzuki For Welterweight Title

ONE FC has announced the headliner for the promotion’s upcoming November 15th card in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, as Adam Kayoom will battle Nobutatsu Suzuki for its inaugural welterweight title. “Warrior Spirit” will be hosted the by 15,000-seater Stadium Putra, and will be broadcast throughout North America via online pay-per-view.

Kayoom (4-1) has scored back-to-back wins since signing with ONE FC, as the Malaysian fighter has defeated Gregor Gracie and most recently Zuli Silawanto. The 35 year-old vet holds Black Belts in BJJ, Tae Kwon Do, Karate and is an experienced kickboxer.

Suzuki (10-1-2) is coming off a first round stoppage of UFC vet Phil Baroni at ONE FC 9 in May. The 36 year-old, Japanese fighter’s only loss to date came versus Keita Nakamura in December, who submitted him at a Vale Tudo Japan event.

The promotion’s next event takes place on October 18th in Singapore, and will feature a bantamweight unification title fight between Bibiano Fernandes and Soo Chul Kim.
