ONE FC has announced that former UFC and Bellator competitor Roger Huerta will compete at the promotion’s upcoming June 23rd event in Kula Lumpur, Malaysia.
Huerta’s opponent for the event has not been announced.
The Asian based promotion made the announcement via Twitter, in response to a report from MMA Fighting, which said Huerta and Gregor Gracie would compete at the upcoming event.
Huerta hasn’t competed since November, when he was stopped by fellow UFC vet Jon “”War Machine” Koppenhaver, which was the 29 year-old veteran’s third loss in a row.
Prior to the defeat, which came while competing for Ultimate Warrior Fighting, Huerta had gone 1-2 with Bellator. During his time with the latter, Huerta (21-6) scored a win over Chad Hinton but incurred losses against Pat Curran and Eddie Alvarez.
According to the report from MMA Fighting, Gregor Gracie (6-1) will fight Adam Kayoom (2-1) at the June 23rd, ONE FC event.
The upcoming “Destiny of Warriors” card will be hosted by the Stadium Negara and will also feature a bout between Renato Sobral and Tatsuya Mizuno.
