One Fighting Championship Announces Launch of “Largest MMA Organization in Asian History”

The Singapore-based One Fighting Championship announced in a press releases that it will be launching the “largest MMA organization in Asian history,” with a series of live events that will be held in major cities throughout Asia as well as a television partnership with ESPN Star Sports (ESS) that covers 24 countries across 17 different networks in the territory.

In addition to distribution through ESS, the promotion will has secured a television distribution deal with MediaCorp Channel 5 (MC) in Singapore.

Victor Cui, CEO/Owner of One Fighting Championship, said, ”One Fighting Championship marks a significant inflection point in the sport of mixed martial arts in Asia. By our first event on September 3, we will be in more than 500 million homes across Asia and it is only the beginning. Asia has been the birthplace and home to martial arts for the last 5,000 years and One Fighting Championship has a vision of bringing mixed martial arts to the 3.9 billion people living in Asia. I am excited by the dominant leadership position of One Fighting Championship in Asia and the future of mixed martial arts in this region of the world. MMA is the fastest growing sport on the planet. We intend to showcase some of the most adrenaline-filled, exciting fights in Asia, featuring the best Asian fighters.”

One announced that it has signed three members of the Gracie family – Gregor, Rolles and Igor – as well as a number of other accomplished championships and superstars, including K-1 Max veteran and world Muay Thai champion, Ole Laursen of The Philippines; six-time world Muay Thai champion Anuwat Kaewsamrit of Thailand; Spirit MC champion Kwang Hee Lee of Korea; Sanda world champion Bao Li Gao of China; former WBA world super featherweight boxing champion Yodsanan Sityodtong of Thailand; and Total Combat FC champion Eddie Ng of Hong Kong.
