Bellator has announced the quarterfinal match-ups for the promotion’s upcoming welterweight tourney, which will get underway on January 24th at Oklahoma’s WinStar World Casino.
As usual, the winner of the competition will earn $100,000 as well as a title fight.
The tournament’s opening round match-ups include UFC vet Ben Saunders vs. Koffi Adzitso, Jose Gomes vs. Raul Amaya, former tourney winner Douglas Lima vs. Michail Tsarev and DREAM champion Marius Zaromskis vs. Brent Weedman.
“I’ve had my sights set on getting back into this tournament for a while,” Saunders was quoted saying in a press release from the promotion. “Everyone knows what type of energy I bring into every one of my fights, and to have the opportunity to do it on Spike is all I could ask for. I can’t wait to get started on January 24th.”
The tournament will be broadcast live Thursday nights on SPIKE.
