One of Europe’s top welterweights in Pascal Krauss will welcome Gunnar Nelson to the UFC, as the fighter has confirmed via Twitter that he will be the first to fight the undefeated prospect in the Octagon.

According to reports, the bout will take place September 29th, at UFC Nottingham, which will be hosted by the city’s Capital FM Arena.

Nelson arrives in the UFC having won all nine of his professional bouts. The Renzo Gracie Jiu Jitsu black belt is coming off a first round, armbar submission win over Alexander Butenko at a Cage Contender event in Febraury.

Nelso, who hails from Iceland, also holds a black belt in Karate.

Krauss (10-1) will be looking to rebound from the unanimous decision loss he suffered versus John Hathaway in May, after earning a UD win over Mark Scanlon at UFC 122 in November, 2010.

Nine of the German fighter’s victories have come way of submission or TKO.

UFC Nottingham will  be headlined by a heavyweight bout between Stipe Miocic and Stefan Struve and will be broadcast on FUEL TV.
